She is Deaf, But a Little d ?

She is Deaf, but a little d?

Basically in a Deaf community you are either a little d or a big D. People would say, She is a little d as she can talk and she is in the hearing community and she have cochlear implants but she still have big D traits? like having a lot of Deaf friends and she can sign. So what does that make her then?

She is a big D - DEAF!

Discriminates on the GLBT & Marriage Equality ?

The purpose of this article is to explain everything regarding Deaf people's responses to MM and theHolism's blogs in DeafRead for making a bad messages such as oppression on the GLBT, Marriage Equality, Civil Rights and NAD.

Numerous Deaf people of the community feels disagreement with the ruckus (theHolism and MM) somehow, the blogger reader trying to leave the comments under thier blogs which they keep deleted messages and/or not approved the comments on thier blogs which the ruckus cannot deal with who supporting the civil rights due to thier homophobic is obvious.

However, This is just simple that the ruckus is so homophobic! Just as civil rights are civil rights, political engagement is political engagement. The last thing the NAD needs is intracommunity division or to send a message to the general public that some rights are more important than others. Unfortunately, this is precisely what theHolism and MM’s invitation led to.

What those laws are and exactly how they are Homophobic, Islamophobic, Racist, and how they repress people of color, poor women. If you see the Facebook group page, End One, End All, there is an article about intersectionality that illustrates why we must stand in solidarity for all civil rights.

The ruckus supports legal discrimination against a minority group. They strive for 100% one way and discrimination in real life practice. We give you the links of the discriminated against on the GLBT...For examples and to read and weep...

A Heart Touching Story Of A Deaf Girl

Video: "If You Really Knew Me" story in captioned.

A heart touching story of a Deaf girl. her story, her speaking, her heart, poured out. If you are Deaf, hearing impaired, or just don't understand, here is what she said.

I was born with a hearing impairment. I was Deaf completly till the age of 6 because my parents got me hearing devices. But since I first stepped in elementary school, there was never a day someone would push me down, call me names, not talk to me, and mostly, never a day that my own school teacher would respect me.

I was stupid, and I was dumb. I would get best up at school because when I say "what, I can't hear you.." they would take that as sarcasm. I got referrals, suspensions, and got kicked out of school for things i haven't done. I was accused of "smoking in the bathroom" in my 4th grade year. I was "accused of beating up 3 girls in the back of school" when I didn't even know how to fight, and in field trips the principal was always picking me up and taking me to detention because I would get into fights, but they would pick up the ones who fought with me.

I was always in trouble for standing for myself. My own principal abused me, and even had me hold back a year in school for no reason whatsoever, almost fired my mom from her job and I left my last day of school with a concussion and four stab wounds on my back from those tacks that pin papers with on the wall because of this girl that would always fight me. I only had 1 friend in those years. but she was worse than me, she commit suicide at the age of thirteen I was eleven, I call the cops on it cause I had to watch her die.

Video by Aissixx

Sad thing is I couldn't even attend the funeral, the parents had her buried in Arizona. I became suicidal, cut, drank smoked. I joined martial arts later. and I'm still in martial arts now to this day.

In 6th grade, I started having friends. People knew not to mess with me cause all this made me stronger. and I always had to get in a fight. But I was so happy when I didn't lose my first real fight that gained me full respect.

I was wondered though, why people are so cruel still. Especially when someone has a disability they have to live with there whole life, and they laugh about it. Actions may be stronger than words, but no one said words didn't hurt as well. I'm still hurt though. because its been since 6th grade that no ones bothered me until like two weeks ago, I cried my eyes out and just broke down, because this girl in my class would say "I m surprised you can hear the school bell." with a smirk.

If only i could put all those people in my shoes, and show them what its like to be like this, alone, rejected, hurt to judge what you don't understand. This is why I decide to give hugs. because in those times, nobody was there to give me one. No one deserves to live my life, a life without anyone beside them. I Love you guys, I promise. Guys,

If you lived with a disability, a bad habit, a different sexual orientation, or an impairment, and you blame it for all your problems, and what you've been through in your past, DON'T. Thank god for it. why?

It makes you stronger than anyone else that consider thereselves "normal", and you being the "Abnormal, weird, strange" person. It makes you more confident than others, and more tougher through out life. Don't reflect the pain you went through on others, turn that pain into something greater, and give something to others, that you never had before like friendship, love, HUGS kisses.

trust me, you will feel so much better. Published on 19 May 2012 by Aissixx

Familiar Stories of the Mainstream...

Alone in a Hearing World shows true to life scenarios of a young Deaf boy growing up in a hearing world. With family members who can't communicate and continuous misunderstandings by his teachers and coaches, he is forced to live in a world of isolation. However, when he pleas for his Mothers understanding and falls short, he ends up in the only place he seems to find acceptance, as seen on YouTube: Alone In A Hearing World

Expert ASL Teachers Criticism Of Music ASL Video

Video: Expert ASL teachers criticism of music ASL video in American Sign Language.

The expert ASL teaching consultant saying "No Church In The Wild - JAY-Z & Kanye West (Sign Language)" That video is NOT sign language...

I am a hearing ASL teacher, this is my personal opinion of the recent "No Church in the Wild" video posted by 3 hearing ASL students. I apologize for the background noise, I made this video in my classroom. Here is a transcript for the non-ASL community:

Hello, I'm Katie (my sign name). I teach ASL.

I wanted to comment about a video I recently watched , "No Church In The Wild (Sign Language)". That video is NOT sign language. Honestly, I would use that video to show my students what NOT to do when signing music.

Video by obriensign

Now, I don't want to insult the three boys in the video. I think it's really cool you enjoy and want to sign music. I think it's awesome that you are so motivated, and I encourage you to continue improving your skills. Socialize with the Deaf community, get involved, learn, and gain experience from signing masters. I think it's awesome!

BUT... your current video is lousy. You have "dead faces"... no facial expressions or body moments, no grammatical structure... it's like you just randomly grabbed words out of thin air. Your video isn't clear, either.

Honestly, that video would be very embarrassing for an ASL teacher. And embarrassing for hearing people. I'm hearing. I would never take advantage of the Deaf community, of their language and culture, like you did. I'm sorry, but you took advantage of them, and that's not appropriate.

I encourage you to continue to improve yourselves, and I promise you, 10 years from now, you'll look back at your "No Church for the Wild (Sign Language)" video and be embarrassed of yourselves, too.

'No Church In The Wild' ASL Video: Under Fire For Major Mistake

Video: 'No Church in the Wild' ASL video: Under fire for major mistake.

After a video publication, the articles on the internet was met with a strong reaction from the ASL-speaking community. Many members of the community have objected to the video on the grounds that it features incomprehensible signs.

Numerous Deaf people of the community finds quite interesting the hot debate about the mistake and nonsense of the music in American Sign Language videos in these days.

Therefore, one of a video from YouTube was something an awkward, maybe even the worst music ASL ever and confused alot of Deaf people who watched Mark Nakhla's "No Church In The Wild - JAY-Z & Kanye West" ASL Music Video.

Mark Nakhla's ASL video is the worst since as similar in the hearies world refered "Rebecca Black's "Friday" Music Video" the worst music video of the century... anyway, back to the ASL issue, a music ASL video that Deaf people as native ASL users barely unable to understand the dudes sign language amateurs are now under fire a horrbile ASL, which is completely different than signs in a signed language, we only see thier gestures.

Signing these dudes claimed that they used ASL to interpret the song of a video which expert ASL teaching consultant saying that it confused alot of Deaf people who watched this. Mark Nakhla's video.

No Church In The Wild - JAY-Z & Kanye West (Captions/Sign Language)

***Disclaimer: We are hearing college students that have taken 2 years of ASL. This video combines sign and dancing in order to creatively express the song in a new manner.***

Last a few weeks ago, Sir Paul McCartney just released a music ASL video for "My Valentine" - Featuring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp in which a video was under fire for major mistake for flubbing a few wrong gestures. Signing tampon instead of appear and enemy instead of valentine. A rep for the British Deaf Association says It would have been nice if genuine Deaf people had been used. However, this video clip is only for American Sign Language, not for British Sign Language.

After a video publication, the articles was met with a strong reaction from the ASL-speaking community. Many members of the community have objected to the video on the grounds that it features incomprehensible signs.

Many numerous of the Deaf people finds and feels offensive by the hearing people claimed that they used ASL to interpret the song of the videos for the hearing impairment, somewhat, this is a saddening testimony to how ignored and oppressed the Deaf Community.

However, Deaf bloggers/vloggers finds quite interesting the hot debate about the mistake and nonsense of the music American Sign Language videos these days as you can check out the published of the articles and videos on Mark Nakhla's music ASL video: No Church in the Wild ASL Video -huffingtonpost.com
